this is the end of this eight-year hell that republicans have rained down on us.
in two months, george bush wont be president of the united states of america. in two months, we'll control the white house again, and the checks and balances system will actually be relevant and john mccain can go have a stroke in peace and sarah palin will never darken the doors of the white house. and barack obama will be the president of the united states.
europe can stop calling us ignorant. the economy can stop being in the shitter. george bush can stop ever making important decisions and dick cheney can go shoot someone in the face.
and i can stop losing sleep and flipping out about this because we fucking did it!
barack obama is the president!
i didn't expect to see this happen, but i am relieved and ecstatic in every way possible that it did.
